Therapy for Trauma, Grief & Attachment

You have moved through grief, trauma, and pain, only to find that the past keeps resurfacing. You learned to cope by focusing on everyone around you, but you’re afraid that you’ve lost touch with yourself. Now, you second-guess yourself, either stuck in your head or feeling cut off from your emotions altogether.

I offer a therapy process that is both supportive and active, one that challenges you to see yourself more compassionately while giving you a clear path toward lasting change. Together, we untangle old patterns with curiosity and work to develop new ways of responding to and moving through pain. I will help you look at your experiences from new angles, notice layers that are difficult to see on your own, and create a framework for how to turn new insight into meaningful change.

Through our work together, you can begin to feel more at peace with the past, shift the way you see yourself in relation to what has happened, and carry these new understandings into your current life and relationships. We can’t erase trauma or loss, but we lessen its weight in the way that you understand yourself and how you move through the present.

My Philosophy:

With more than 13 years of experience in mental health, I use an integrative, evidence-based approach tailored to you.

My approach is grounded in attachment and relational theories. I believe the therapeutic relationship creates the foundation for healing, serving as a space where all parts of you are welcomed and met with care. Together, we explore how earlier experiences shape the way you see yourself, respond emotionally, and connect with others, and work to shift patterns that once protected you but may be keeping you stuck today.

Drawing from emotion-focused approaches such as Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), I help clients develop a different relationship with painful emotions. Rather than pushing feelings away, we learn to understand what they may be signaling and learning to move through them without becoming as overwhelmed, shut down, or stuck.

Depending on your needs, we may also integrate EMDR, parts-based therapy, and other experiential approaches to process experiences from the past that continue to carry weight.. We work with memories, emotions, and somatic experiences to gain new perspective and lessen

Together, we work not only to ease what feels difficult now, but also create a path toward meaningful change. As the weight of the past begins to shift, you can reconnect with parts of yourself that may have felt distant and move forward with a stronger sense of who you are.

I offer a complimentary 30-minute phone consultation so we can get to know one another and talk about whether I may be a good fit for you
